Orofacial Pain

Orofacial pain affects approximately 6% of the adult population, and it is the result of a painful impulse caused by mouth and face injuries. Its treatment is often complex since the nerves responsible for collecting orofacial sensitivity are intricately organized.

Although it is usually treated by the dentist, in special situations orofacial pain requires a multidisciplinary treatment (traumatologist, dentist, physiotherapist, and psychologist), including techniques from each specialty to help patients recover their functionality and enjoy a better quality of life in dealing with the pain.
